Clarion Capital Partners Announces Promotions of Three Senior Team Members

New York, January 3, 2018 – We are pleased to announce the promotions of three long-time employees of Clarion Capital Partners (“Clarion”). Clarion promoted Matt Feldman to Managing Director and Brandon Katz and Ed Martin to Principal. Combined, these three professionals have been associated with Clarion for approximately 35 years! We congratulate them on their success here at Clarion as well as their dedication to the firm. Their promotions are an important element of our growth as we begin investing Clarion III, a $427 million fund that was recently closed. Clarion’s culture is a key part of our firm’s success as demonstrated by the tenure of our senior team.

Matthew S. Feldman, Managing Director

Matt leads Clarion’s Financial Services group and led Clarion’s most recent investment in AML RightSource. Matt joined Clarion in 2002 and has been actively involved in approximately half the Clarion portfolio companies since joining. Prior to joining the firm in 2002, he worked in the Real Estate, Gaming, Lodging & Leisure Group of Bear, Stearns & Co. Inc.’s Investment Banking Division. He serves on the board of directors of AML RightSource. Matt graduated from the University of Michigan Business School with a BBA in 2000. Matt’s personal interests include supporting University of Michigan Football, running and traveling.

Brandon M. Katz, Principal

Brandon is responsible for due diligence and sourcing support for Clarion’s Media, Entertainment & Technology and Healthcare Services investments. He started as an Associate with Clarion in 2008 and rejoined the firm in 2011 from PioneerPath Capital, a division of Citadel Investment Group, where he was an equity analyst covering the Gaming, Lodging and Leisure sectors. From 2006 to 2008, Brandon worked in the Investment Banking Division of Bear, Stearns & Co. Inc. in the Technology, Media and Telecom group. He serves on the board of directors of Madison Logic and SQAD and previously served on the board of directors of Ametros. Brandon graduated from Boston University with a BSBA in 2006. Brandon’s personal interests include supporting the New York Yankees and English bulldogs.

Edward W. Martin, Principal

Ed is responsible for providing due diligence and sourcing support for
Clarion’s Business Services and Media Entertainment & Technology investments. Ed initially joined Clarion in 2006. He serves on the board of directors of Lenox and previously served on the board of directors of Moravia. Ed received his MBA from Columbia Business School and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania.
